Postdramatic Theatre

Overall, the performance was executed to a high standard and each performer maintained focus throughout the duration. Personally, I found it extremely challenging performing in a durational performance as I have never experienced performing in one before. Especially as it was a physical piece, maintaining the energy and focus was crucial. This proved difficult at times, however, with the rules which we set in place before hand worked very nicely, creating another element to the piece. However, I felt we could have pushed the performance further in relation to Grotowski’s impulse and being true to every action. I think the cold weather conditions affected our performance slightly, causing us to restrict our full commitment to the physical elements as well as the encouragement of exploring different dynamics within the movement.
